Physics of juggling: Observation Experiment
Aim
Observe juggling in slow motion to identify patterns in the behavior of the juggler that allow him to keep the balls in the air.
Prior Knowledge
Kinematics of projectile motion.
Description of the Experiment
Below is the list of experiments in the order of increasing difficulty.
- Mill's mess - three balls.
- Windmill, also known as a "false shower" becasue it looks like a shower but it is not - three balls.
- The shower - three balls.
- Fountain - four balls.
- The box - only three balls but a very difficult trick. Try to figure out why.
- Cascade - five balls. Aren't you jealous that we have David here?
