Balloon in a bell jar: Qualitative Testing Experiment
Aim
Test your model of gases and pressure.
Prior Knowledge
- Understanding of atmospheric pressure.
- Knowledge of the relationship between pressure and volume of a gas.
Description of the Experiment
A partially inflated balloon is placed in a bell jar. A vaccuum pump is then turned on and the air inside the bell jar is pumped out. Predict what will happen to the balloon.
